Eldon Taylor has made a life study of the human mind – with doctoral degrees in psychology and metaphysics. He is a Fellow with the American Psychotherapy Association (APA) and a nondenominational minister. The fascinating part, while completing his education, Eldon was a practicing criminalist for over ten years, conducting and supervising investigations, and testing to detect deception. His earliest work with changing inner beliefs was conducted from this setting, including a double blind study conducted at the Utah State Prison, 1986-87 .

Choices and Illusions was the book that introduced me to Eldon Taylor. I like his newest book even better. Mind Programming: From Persuasion and Brainwashing to Self-Help and Practical Metaphysics is a very good tool to help identify and disengage from the constant cues and subprograms running in our daily lives. It is an encouragement to stop operating our life on autopilot.

One of the amazing things about the spiritual and metaphysical jumpstart I got from my nightlight connection was a very disciplined instruction on how to better connect with my own inner guidance. I had to learn how to reformat my brain harddrive to redirect and channel my conscious awareness to actively filter some of the daily message onslaught and then to shift focus to better engage new abilities and new conscious programming.

There is never a time when the mind is truly off but it can be contained and focused in more productive ways when we identify where our current programs are running amuck.

 In cleaning up the clutter on my computer, I found a review of Talking to Nightlights that I had saved and filed away. Suggestions on how I could better present the topic were late in coming but appreciated none the less.

There is a reason I misfiled this review. To sum up: the reviewer – without mincing words – suggested I cut some of the personal process and tidy up the writing… make it a bit leaner.

I did some mincing on those recommended specifics in this version.

So – if the book goes on in another form - I can still do that. No doubt it would improve the selling points and make the message more commercially appealing. I have yet to do that. My experiences and the people who have connected to me as a result of what I shared have given me even more avenues of conscious awakening to explore and assurance that there are others who know exactly what I have undergone as they are having similar experiences in the rocking boat.

So it was what I needed to do at the time. The book is about sharing the very first transitioning steps of a profound, life-changing spiritual metamorphosis.    

As it stands now when you read it, it might be helpful to know that I chose to include some of the personal process in my book because I knew there would be others like me who had not been exposed nor prepared for this kind of metaphysical – supernatural – paranormal event and might appreciate hearing how it can just start…for absolutely no reason… and then shake up the very core of your life foundation.

It would have been better I suppose to have cut the excess description and make a tidier story but this metaphysical, spiritual awakening stuff doesn’t happen neat and tidy. When it happens, the world shifts, reality cracks and you undergo an intense reassessment of consicous awareness … and your mental state.

You begin to reexamine superficial appearances and question all that you encounter. I could not imagine how to make sense of my story without including the process of unfoldment to demonstrate that – no matter who you are or how tight you think your handle is on the “real” world, reality is relative. You will make mistakes and muddle through a few things before you get your bearings.  

Awakening to a world where multidimensional awareness is a part of the daily routine takes a bit of getting used to. I was left with the knowing that the world is multi-layered energetic arena and a much more entertaining place if we can allow for that – even if we can’t comprehend it. We truly exist in a space – in and out of time – and when we are granted more exposure to some of the shamanic realms – wonder unfolds exponentially.

[Point of fact. I have had to make peace with the term "psychic" because I had not considered myself in that light. EVER. I go so far as to claim channeling, intuitive and shamanic abilities with a mystical approach. I thought I was telling the story as a Broadcast Journalist who went AWOL and found God... Might be why the reviewer needed to offer a redirect.

I hate to admit being annoyed at being called a psychic but I thought - right out of the chute  - the label misdirected the intent and the direction of the book.]

I want to return to information I have shared before and add emphasis to the power we have at any given time to shift our focus to improve the quality of our thoughts. A wonderful resource for how that works is Catherine Ponder. Her book Open Your Mind to Prosperity is an excellent tool in the development of prosperity consciousness and makes a solid case for the use of positive affirmations.

The most important part of her material is the bones of how it works. And it underscores a “fix-it” that “The Secret” and most of the current slew of Law Of Attraction courses omit.

From the source: “But unless you learn how to clear away the psychological blocks about prosperity, as discussed in chapter 1; unless you then learn how to cleanse your mind to make way for prosperity, as explained in chapter 2; and unless you follow this up by giving your prosperity a spiritual basis, as shown in chapter 4—just creating your prosperity mentally first is not enough. It may excite you into bringing about temporary results. Then you sink down into frustration and despair again as these results fade away, and you say to yourself, “It doesn’t really work.”

Positive thinking is a powerful influence but do not mistake influence for control. Other factors are also at play. You are responsible for your own thought and the outcome manifests as a result of that energy pattern. All is a work in process and progress.

At the intuitive level, there is awareness that all is in a state of flux. Each is creating his experience and the thoughts generated determine the output. When in touch with our intuitive gifts, we can learn to reign in our thoughts and manifest conscious change in our lives as we develop the ability to focus our energy and become in alignment with a desired outcome.

There are many opportunities to make conscious spirit or intuitive connections. In essence, we are in constant contact with the spirit plane but tune it out. As you learn to accept, reawaken or develop that ability, events appear to affirm the connection. In becoming more connected to the whole of life, the daily details become less concrete and more pliable.

In my case, an encounter with an energy that started appearing to me in conjunction with blinking nightlights was the catalyst for my reawakening to the metaphysical wonders of the world. I was instructed by spirit guides on how to channel and how to improve my intuitive abilities.

As the paranormal events multiplied in response to that education, so did my faith in God and a higher source. From that point on, I relaxed and just enjoyed the connection and the process. I lost my apprehension about dealing with paranormal events and moved forward.

The energy I connect with through the nightlight has a basic message – we are here in whatever form – (body or spirit) to learn how to love. Know your mind.

Shout Out to Awakened Dreamers

Get ready to rethink everything you ever thought you knew about reality. As the shift progresses, your awareness will allow you to see more that you had somehow overlooked prior to your arrival in this space and time.

Nothing is as it seems. The only real thing here is YOU. You create every single thing you engage with and you determine the measure of the encounter. And that creation thing is happening every single second of every day. Whatever you have fixated upon in your mind will turn up in some form in the world around you.

It does not seem so because the part of you doing that creation is not in this form nor on the same plane. You are multidimensional. Of the many parts, you are merely one at play in this universal field of conscious awareness.

Reality is not a line; it’s a bubble. Each and every item in the manifest plane has a bubble around it. The more you believe your bubble to be solid… the greater the potential for impact with others who believe otherwise. The ever so subtle way to avoid those types of altercations: Go with the flow. Loosen your attachments.

Listen to your heart, spirit guides and that knowing voice within and you will get out of the rut of recycled manifestations into the life stream of multi-consciousness creation with awareness before anyone realizes you are gone…

Note that it will not be an obvious nor prolonged departure. You will still exist as a shadow in this plane, almost like a place holder or a lampshade. While the butterfly soul navigates the in between state of becoming and – at every opportunity of remembering – the true spirit form of that little butterfly slips out of the cocoon and wanders out to play amongst the stars.

Conscious Ascension. You are lighting your way and you are already there – taking a byte out of time. What does this mean? At this level of awareness it becomes possible to effectively freeze yourself in place while making the metaphysical connections to step out of time and alter your life course.

Kind of changes everything as we know it. It isn’t new information, rather, it is information we chose to forget to be able to come here and grow lighter in our awareness and our being. We are now at the point of remembering our way HOME. The home we never left.

Friday was a wonderful reminder that litte surprises can be worth the wait. First, the finished copy of Guy Finley’s Letting Go a little bit at a time arrived. And – on his website is my endorsement…it made the cut…at the very, very end of the list…and right before the link to read the book.

Then – because I called myself the Author of Talking to Nightlights – I checked out the book on Amazon… and what a shock to see a review… thank you for little surprises.

My nightlights and my spiritual connection with the Energy has become even stronger. It is present wherever I am. And it can also be present with you (we are one and all connected in spirit consciousness).

I have posted videos on Youtube to give you an idea of how it works for me. The camera is set on auto and it phases out due to the presence of the energy. It is more obvious in the first video (08). In the current video (09), the Energy has managed to accomodate that dynamic and not interfere in the process.

Do you really want to see Angels? Upgrade your thoughts. It is as easy as that. Hard to believe it could really be that simple but it is. And the beautiful thing about all of the spiritual energy that we can access is there is so little effort required to engage it.

That said, it requires a bit of will power to get out of the soap opera of the daily drama and lock step social grind to enter into the magical kingdom of love, light, angels, fairies and spirit guardians. One has to desire to hold focus on the conscious creation of a better mind set. One must allow for higher thoughts and perfect solutions beyond imagining. Possibilities are endless.

Do your work and you will be rewarded. The best thing about jumping to conclusions and leaps of faith? One has the potential to upgrade. If and when you don’t like the conclusions you end up with or the math seems to add up in the wrong direction, shift your focus and put your own spin on it. Where can you tweak the script to improve your lot? How can you shift your belief or your behavior to change the outcome for the better?

NO one else needs to change. YOU DO and that changes the scenario entirely. The thing you wanted to change may not exist when you come at it from that point and thus, no need to change the external when you shift yourself.

Go back and add your math again in a few minutes or a few days. You can shift the world with a thought. You can shift yourself with a breath. Blow out the candles and celebrate the light in you. We are born to glow in the dark. When you discover that inner light, the door to infinity opens.

Life begins in Mystery and ends in Wonder. Answers are not the end – rather stepping stones – from one plane of belief to the next. I cannot explain my nightlight. It happens and I am in awe. I suspect there might be less awe if there were an explanation.

Then again, I am not sure there is any explanation I will accept, no matter how great the mind. After all, Stephen Hawking stuck by one explanation for 30 years until struck with a severe health crisis (when many thought he might be ready to check out), from which he recovered and reemerged with a shift in his logic that offered a new explanation to go around the first.

What creates this activity with my nightlight? How can it happen day in and day out with no will on my part? What is it? Where does it come from? How am I connected with it? Where did it go before here? Why is it here? Who is it? What is the purpose? I have my own answers for all these questions. It may take another 30 years for me to determine whether I am right… Maybe it isn’t about being right. 

What I do know? It is my puzzle. Therefore, I am up to the challenge.

We are here to explore. If there were no magic or mystery, there would be nothing to show up for…and no way for us to appear…out of the ether into a physical form.

Here we are, contemplating illumination from the vantage point of the lampshade. Answers depend upon where one directs his focus, the objects being illuminated or the source.

Seems the only answers we have been able to discern are those that leave us stuck splattered like a bug on the window of infinity. Maybe we are trying too hard. Can we decrease the speed enough to stop when our nose is merely pressed against the pane? Are we trying to morph time, gravity, or light?

Certainly, the view is awesome – until you hit that darn glass…

Believe and you will see.

I have had earlier opportunities to check out the Stanley Hotel in Estes Park, Colorado and opted against it. Since I believe in and experience ghosts on a regular basis, I really didn’t want or need to engage more on my vacation.

Ghosts and spirit energies are real for me, so I try not to intentionally go where I have not been invited. This time, for whatever reason, I had an invite; my guides suggested a visit. As such, it was up to me to make it happen, not knowing exactly what to expect or why I had to see the Stanley Hotel.

It may be that, with the constant presence of my nightlight energy, I don’t question or doubt the existence of other awarenesses and life forms. Ghosts are a lot like people. They each have a certain role they are playing or duty they have agreed perform.

Some appreciate a bit of interest and polite acknowledgement but for the most part, they don’t want to hang out to shoot the breeze…or jump through a circus of hoops to prove they exist. They exist without proof or any obligation to provide such.

When and if a ghost needs my help, they find me and that works perfectly well for me. Why the Stanley and why this time? Turns out it was the presence of a new (very much alive and breathing) tour guide who had just enough time and experience on the job to corroborate all of my impressions – impressions that started bubbling in full force from the minute we drove onto the property.

My guides told me – “We have a surprise for you.” Ever the jovial companions, I have learned any reluctance or trepidation on my part only serves to amuse them even more, so I just go and see what they’ve arranged to help with my ongoing lessons in enlightenment.

I obliged them with a trip to the Stanley Hotel to meet a spirit they referred to as “The Singing Ghost.” The music began the minute I entered the grounds (The guides were laughing and kept asking, “Can you hear us singing.”). I walked – without knowing – directly to the music room, paused to admire the piano in the lobby area outside and felt drawn to the souvenir shop where I found someone I could question, who answered a lot of my questions and then directed me to (as it turns out) the person I was actually sent there to see. When I told that person I had a tremendous connection with someone who was incredibly musical and I heard and felt as if the ghost was humming, we were off. Our story is still unfolding.
For me, even though I have been doing this kind of thing overtly for over a decade, it is still embarrassing to ask the kind of questions I have to ask to corroborate my ghost impressions – but I can’t get any information if I don’t – so I just allow that I will find the right person and provide amusement for those who don’t get it.

On this trip – I found the ghost, the right person, and a reason to go back. Once again, my guides managed to make the road to “enlightenment” fun.

Oh, and for an added incentive to do my homework, I woke up with a huge knot in my back the day of the trip. It made absolutely no sense. (However, I did suspect a connection.) The guides referred to it as the “monkey on your back.” As soon as I made my engagement at the Stanley, the monkey went away.
The purpose of the trip:
My guides sent me to a place where I had no prior knowledge or sense of familiarity to connect my dots and remember what I “know” is always with me; I had to affirm me in yet another way. No matter how amazing and wonderful my encounters and abilities, I am still exploring, discovering and accepting who I am and what I do.

Never a dull moment in this world of light.
